Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel

Night view of Los Angeles city lights from Griffith Observatory terrace

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is a whimsical castle-inspired retreat where storybook towers, lush gardens, and family-friendly hospitality create one of the most distinctive hotel environments near Disneyland Resort.

Located along South Disneyland Drive near West Ball Road just north of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, this expansive property sits within the Anaheim Resort district only about half a mile from the park entrance. The moment you arrive, the architecture sets the tone. Turrets rise above manicured grounds, fountains and koi ponds dot the courtyards, and wide garden pathways stretch across the property's landscaped grounds. Families wheel suitcases through the grand lobby while children look around wide-eyed at the castle-like atmosphere that hints at the magic of the theme parks just down the street. The hotel balances playful fantasy with the practical comforts travelers expect, offering spacious rooms, gathering spaces, and a calm escape from the intensity of the nearby parks.

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel carries a surprisingly deep history that stretches back to the earliest decades of Disneyland-era tourism.

The property originally opened in 1969 as the Royal Coach Inn, the same year Disneyland debuted the Haunted Mansion attraction. Over the years the hotel passed through several ownerships and name changes before eventually becoming the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel known today. Its distinctive Tudor-inspired architecture was originally part of a small chain of Royal Coach Inns built across the United States, but Anaheim's location allowed it to survive long after the others disappeared, making it the only remaining property from that original group. Today the hotel spans roughly 13 landscaped acres filled with gardens, fountains, and courtyards, housing hundreds of guest rooms and several dining venues that serve both visiting families and convention travelers. The castle-themed design was intentionally created to echo the fantasy storytelling associated with Disneyland while still functioning as a full-service resort property.

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel works naturally as a home base for exploring the greater Anaheim Resort district.

Begin your day by visiting the Disneyland Resort corridor along Harbor Boulevard between Katella Avenue and Ball Road, where the entrances to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure anchor one of Southern California's most famous tourism districts. After a full day inside the parks or exploring the nearby Anaheim Packing District and GardenWalk entertainment area, return to the hotel's quieter grounds where landscaped courtyards and garden pathways provide a calm contrast to the theme park crowds just minutes away.
